I never knew. I too love the show. My husband and I are currently on the second season; we cycle through the series with an occasional break for Jane Austen. I too love Spike. Also Willow, perhaps because I identify with the nerdy parts of her. Xander is quietly impressive; a truly decent person. Angel is gloomy, except when he's evil. And of course there's the librarian par excellence, Giles. But Spike! Rose Buffy fans in my class! I never knew. I too love the show. My office mate at work is the YA librarian and she just held a Forks Prom for her group. It was so well attended that they are planning another party for the release of the fourth book. Very intruiging series, and yes, highly addictive! I was a huge Anne Rice fan a few years ago and really enjoyed getting to know Edward, Emmet, Alice, et al.
